ASSP Sierra Nevada April Super Meeting: A CSHO Lived Experience

Summary: Overview of an OSHA inspection from a former compliance officer. An overview of how worksite inspections are chosen, what gives the authority for entry, elements of an inspection, what kinds of questions will be asked by the compliance officer, the multi-employer worksite citation policy, and employers’ rights. There will be time for Q&A at the end of presentation.

Bio: Christopher Brandon is the Risk Control & Loss Prevention Division Manager for the Risk Management Department of Maricopa County. He is a former Occupational Safety & Health Consultant for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), Industrial Hygiene Compliance Officer with the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) and worked as a Safety Specialist for Bombardier Transportation during the construction, testing, and commissioning of the Phoenix SkyTrain system installed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

He is a Past-President for the Arizona Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals and recipient of Safety Professional of the Year. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Safety Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Prescott and a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Administration from the University of New Orleans. He was recognized as the AZASSP Chapter Safety Professional of the year in 2019.
